Located in the Fei-tsui Reservoir watershed, the Pinglin District of New Taipei City, Taiwan, its agricultural practices directly affect the reservoir’s lifespan and the quality of water consumed by millions in the Greater Taipei area. In 2007, Tse-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation launched the "Pure Spring Project" to guide tea farmers in Pinglin toward organic farming. To further support local organic farmers in tea production, sales, and technical skills, the Tea Factory of Tse-Xin Pure Spring was established in the Pinglin tea region.

After more than a decade of effort, the ecosystems surrounding these organic tea farms have flourished. Endemic protected species such as the emerald green tree frog, Taiwan blue magpie, and Small Indian Civet thrive along with Bracken commonly found in the mountains of Pinglin, forming a vibrant cycle of life and biodiversity.

In order to ensure that the public can not only drink tea with reassurance but also enjoy delicious organic tea, the tea factory has guided farmers in managing their tea gardens through organic cultivation. They have worked to overcome pest and disease challenges, explored various tea-making techniques, and actively sought advice from experts in different fields. As a result, the quality of their tea has improved year by year, earning excellent recognition in various tea competitions in recent years. In 2024, Tse-Xin Pure Spring Tea garnered five notable awards:

"9th Rural Good Product Awards" — The organic tea gift set was honored for its packaging, which reflects the region’s climate and rich biodiversity, echoing the efforts of organic farmers in preserving the ecosystem.

"National Organic Teabag TAGs Evaluation" — The black tea and roasted oolong flat teabags received the Exquisite Selection Award. The teabags are made with safe, non-toxic PLA derived from non-GMO corn starch and packaged in simple paper boxes, embodying an eco-friendly tea-drinking experience.

"National Organic Loose Tea TAGs Evaluation" — In the spherical tea category, the light aroma oolong received the Special Selection Award, Exquisite Selection Award, Outstanding Selection Award. The PouChong tea also earned Exquisite Selection Award, Outstanding Selection Award, showcasing excellent performance!

Tse-Xin Pure Spring Tea “Golden Delight Gift Set” Named One of the “Top 10 Beverages Gifts” in National Tea and Coffee Gift Selection. The “Golden Delight Treasure Box – Elegant Gift Set” combines premium organic GABA oolong tea with organic golden diamond pineapple cakes and mulberry oolong fruit jellies made with eco-friendly, conservation-grown mulberries. All items are free of artificial coloring, flavoring, and preservatives, earning high praise from the judges.

Tse-Xin Pure Spring Tea Takes First Place in the 2024 Taiwan GABA Oolong Tea Competition. After a decade of research and development in GABA tea, Tse-Xin Pure Spring Tea Factory has conducted countless tests and refinements to perfect its production process, ultimately delivering a tea of exceptional quality and lasting flavor.

Tse-Xin has endured 16 years of dedication, upholding organic and eco-friendly farming practices to protect the ecological environment upstream of the Feisui reservoir. At the same time, Tse-Xin continuously refine the tea-making techniques, striving to share delicious organic tea with the public. Tse-Xin Pure Spring Tea aligns with multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including climate change mitigation, environmental conservation, inclusive partnerships, and sustainable communities. By leveraging the carbon-sequestration benefits of organic agriculture, the initiative actively supports the 2050 Net-Zero Emissions Policy. Looking ahead, Tse-Xin aims to expand its impact to other tea-growing regions by building networks with more organic tea farmers—working together to protect water sources, soil health, public well-being, and all life on Earth.
